Firstly, let me clear a wrong idea in your mind. There's a difference between Reposting and Repurposing
Repost: When you repost a content, you're simply re-sharing a content that has being made before. Here, there's really no adjustment made.
Repurpose: When you repurpose a content, you're making some modifications to that content for a specific goal. Here, the core message is still retained. Here are some strategies I've used and can also help you too...
Start by identifying the core message of your content. That message should resonate with your audience across all your social platforms.
Let me give you a case study;
If you posted an article on your website talking about, "5 qualities every entrepreneur must possess" You can turn that article into a post on LinkedIn and even add further information to it. I know I've seen Prosperity Olorunfemi O. do something like this before. He made a carousel post on LinkedIn from a webinar he invited Blessing Abeng
You can still take that same article and capitalize on the visual appeal of Instagram. By turning it to an engaging infographics or carousel. If you don't know how to do this, you can always hire a good designer to help you out. You'll be glad you did so 🤞 (Pro tip: I'm a great designer 💯)
That same article....can still be taken to Twitter and be shortened into series of tweets, actionable tips and snippets. Can you see the magic you've just done with ONE ARTICLE?👀
Still using the same article from above
We all know LinkedIn has this professional tone. You can structure your content by using bullet points, headers, emojis that draw people's attention to something. It will make your content easily readable and organized.
Instagram has a lot of interactive features like stories and quizzes. You can use these elements to engage your audience with your post.
You can use memes, GIFs and relate them with your content.
You can share a snippet of a content you made on Twitter while directing people to read the full post on LinkedIn. Sometimes, I do this when I want to refer to a project I just completed.
PS:You're only modifying the content format or tone. The key message still remains the same!
